So there have been rumors for awhile now about who was going to be performing at the Half Time Super Bowl Show and we knew most likely it was going to be Maroon 5! However it hasn't been confirmed until now!
Yes Maroon 5 will be performing with Travis Scott and Big Boi!! Apparently Travis wanted to performing but had one condition! Of course as we know there have been some artists that turned down the Super Bowl because of Colin Kaepernick, so Travis said NFL would have to make a huge donation to a non-profit that focuses on social justice! Travis released a statement that said
“I back anyone who takes a stand for what they believe in,"
"I know being an artist that it’s in my power to inspire. So before confirming the Super Bowl Halftime performance, I made sure to partner with the NFL on this important donation. I am proud to support Dream Corps and the work they do that will hopefully inspire and promote change."
Scott made a $500,000 donation in partnership with the NFL to "social justice accelerator" Dream Corps, an organization founded by Van Jones in 2014, and will work with the NFL on additional initiatives.
The Super Bowl goes down February 3rd in Atlanta!
