35 Years Ago Today, the Moonwalk Was Born

On this day 35 years ago, Michael Jackson did a dance move that still to this day people try to master. That move is the moonwalk. The move debuted on the "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever" TV show to celebrate the label that brought some many stars to the forefront. The show initially wanted the performers to do greatest hits from Motown, but Michael wanted to do a new song he had called, "Billie Jean." After producers saw Jackson's rehearsal for the song, the rest as they say is history. The first moonwalk was pretty quick. It lasted for only two and half seconds, but it evolved into something way more special.
