Is Being ‘Hangry’ a Real Thing?!

According to Sophie Medlin, a nutrition and dietetics professor from King’s College in London, yes, being “hangry” is a real thing.

She says when our blood sugar drops then our cortisol and adrenaline increases in our body goes into a “fight or flight” response. Just like when we are angered. 

Nicole Osinga, who is a registered dietician, say that too much cortisol in our body can lead to low energy and weight gain and being “hangry." 

You should include protein and fiber in your meals so that you will stay satisfied longer and include snacks between meals to keep your blood sugar leveled.
