Officials are warning against picking up any phone calls with an area code that you're unfamiliar with.
Inc.com says that the infamous "One Ring Scam" is back in full force, scamming many out of their money. According to the Federal Trade Commission, the scammers are using auto-dialers to call random numbers across the country, letting the phone ring just one time before hanging up.
Some of the area codes you should watch out for are: 268, 284, 473, 664, 649, 767, 809, 829, 849 and 876.
Don't pick up your phone if you see one of these area codes! They could be scamming you out of a lot of cash.
