Cops in Downtown Los Angeles say they've made a bunch of sex arrests inside the main public library.

Vice investigators say they're not sure why the central library on 5th street became a popular spot for men to meet-up in the restrooms. But with so many kids around, LAPD Commander Andrew Smith says officers added patrols and ran 14 sting operations -- all after library visitors complained.

"They've seen something that happened there that disturbed them and you know people have the right to go to the library and not have a lewd act conducted," Smith said.

Nine men have been arrested so far. Smith says word of the enforcement typically gets out quickly and it stops.
