A gang leader from Northeast L.A. who had a role in the murder of an L.A. County Sheriff’s Deputy has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison.

Rudy “Lil’ Psycho” Aguirre had pleaded guilty to a huge federal indictment – that accused him of killing a man one man and ordering a another murder.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicholas Trutanich says Aguirre has been sentenced to 25 years.

Trutanich says as a “shot-caller” for the Avenues street gang, Aguirre took orders from the Mexican Mafia prison gang and had a role in the killing of Deputy Juan Escalante.
